夜の下に徘徊

Note: Below was from my old blog in relation to Noctivagus: Wandering by Night.

I asked my friend who speaks Chinese if she could translate "Wandering by Night" for me, so that I would have an authentic title in kanji.  My friend was able to give me the translation in both Chinese and Japanese.  But when my friend gave me the Japanese one she said to me and I quote, “Do not lose it!”, since the Japanese one she had got off one of her friends.  To make sure I did not lose it I made several copies of the file. The only thing was I forgot which files had both the Chinese and Japanese in and which just have the Chinese version in.

A few months later I decided to clean up the files on my computer. Now whenever I tend to clean up the files on my computer it normally ends up in disaster (since I clean too well which leads to me losing important files!!).  This time was no different and I ended up I accidentally deleting the one which had the Japanese in.

DISASTER

I sobbed. OMG I sobbed. I had lost it. I had lost what I had been told not to loose. I searched everywhere to find it. I.e. in emails, in chat logs….but I could not find it anywhere.  The only version I could find was the Chinese version.

THEN today I decided to clean up my computer again….but instead of disaster…SUCCESS….I FOUND THE CHAT LOG!!! The chat log which had my friend telling me the Japanese version.

Hence…I am sooooo happy.

Also here it is.

Chinese: 夜幕下的徘徊
Japanese: 夜の下に徘徊

It is here encase I ever lose it again :D

So the moral of the story is always have many backup copies because you never know when you might loose one copy and need a backup.
